  3. b) Seats of the Pitta dosha are the eyes, the skin and the liver; any disbalance of the fire element shows in those areas first.
  4. e) Cedar is great for any condition associated with the physical sense of safety and security in one’s physical and emotional environment.
  5. b) No, those are characteristics of the Vata (air) constitution.

  7. b) is the correct answer. The distillation of a plant will give an essential oil; c) is totally off base; d) mineral oils (eg, petroleum oils and jellies prevent skin cells from breathing.

  9. c) Sesame is the correct answer; other oils for Vata include avocado, castor, glycerin, argan and pumpkin seed oils.
  10. a) Definitely a mix with warming, light and astringent properties. Although you can get artificial fragrances that smell like lilac, the flower doesn't give essential oil.
